2022 Awards

The 2022 grantees represent a broad cross-section of 48 collecting institutions across 19 states, ranging from smaller, specialized museums, to regional powerhouses and major encyclopedic institutions, with annual operating budgets ranging in size from less than one million to nearly $500 million. A total of $3 million was awarded in the 2022 grant cycle. Applications were evaluated on the basis of both feasibility and impacts, and grants have been awarded in proportion to the scope and timeline of the project. Recipients are required to track and report their energy use and greenhouse gas emission in Energy Star® Portfolio Manager. For more information, read the full 2022 press release.
